We are not, in real life, at war. We did want one photograph where it looks like we might be.

The ceremony is at two o'clock at the Regional Trial Court in Tagbilaran, near Camp Bernido — about an hour from here by road, so there is time between the two.

What to wear

Black and burgundy

Semi casual, in black and burgundy. There are a few looks below if you would like them.

Guest attire chart. Two looks for women — a black flowy or slip dress, or a burgundy satin or chiffon dress, with strappy heels and minimal jewellery — and two for men — a black or burgundy button-up or polo with tailored trousers or chinos and loafers or dress shoes.

Anything in those two families works — a deep wine, a merlot, an oxblood. The evening is indoors, and it will be warm.

A civil ceremony at the Regional Trial Court in Tagbilaran, near Camp Bernido, for family and witnesses. Most guests join us at the reception.

Two o’clock and five o’clock are the fixed points, and we will be done by nine. Everything in between is an estimate, so the evening has room to move.

In Loboc, up the river and inland — not in Tagbilaran City. Allow about an hour by road from Tagbilaran, and use the map link above rather than the name alone.

Parking

There is plenty of parking at the resort. Drive in and leave the car on the grounds.

The questions we keep getting

Does the dress code mean head to toe?
No — black or burgundy as the main tone is plenty. There is no need to match anyone else.
Can I bring the children?
While we love the little ones, our reception will be limited to adults.
Can I bring someone?
Due to limited space, our celebration is strictly for the named guests on the invitation.
Is there a bar?
Yes — an open bar, all evening.
What about gifts?
Your presence is the greatest gift of all. Should you wish to honour us with a gift, a contribution to our wishing well would be appreciated.
Can I take photographs?
We would love for you to capture memories during the day, but we kindly ask that you refrain from posting any photos on social media. We want to be the first to share our moments, and we would be happy to send you copies afterward if you like.
